Deze conferentie, gezamenlijk georganiseerd door EMN Estland en IOM Estland, richt zich op tekorten aan arbeidskrachten in de EU. De conferentie biedt inzicht in duurzame strategieën om een evenwicht te vinden tussen de lokale vraag naar arbeidskrachten en tegelijkertijd concurrentieel en aantrekkelijk te blijven voor arbeidsmigranten.  

De nationale conferentie van EMN Finland voor 2024 onderzoekt de stand van zaken en de toekomstperspectieven van de situatie van Oekraïners in Finland en in EU-landen. De conferentie richt zich op de uitdagingen van integratie in een situatie waarin personen die tijdelijke bescherming genieten zich tussen twee landen bevinden. De conferentie probeert deze personen te ondersteunen in het spanningsveld tussen integratie en terugkeer.

De high-level EMN conferentie in kader van het Hongaarse voorzitterschap zal zich richten op mogelijke manieren om terugkeer effectiever en efficiënter te laten verlopen. Speciale aandacht zal gaan naar belangrijke aspecten van de terugkeerprocedure, interne samenhang, samenwerking met derde landen en digitalisering ter ondersteuning van het gemeenschappelijke EU-systeem voor terugkeer.

Through expert-led sessions and interactive discussions, the course will delve into public attitudes toward migration, migrant decision-making, and the development of migration policies.

This conference aims to present the first results of a Fedasil-funded mentoring-to-work project for highly skilled asylum seekers. It will discuss the challenges and opportunities of using mentoring as a pre-integration tool for asylum seekers. It will also explore the added value of mentoring for those who receive a positive decision and the challenges that arise from working with status holders.

Deze workshop, gezamenlijk georganiseerd door EMN Luxemburg en het Praag Proces, heeft als doel de huidige stand van zaken in het voorspellen van migratie- en asielstromen te verkennen, bestaande uitdagingen aan te pakken en de toekomst van prognoses in migratiebeheer te onderzoeken. Daarnaast zal de workshop de nieuwste technologische vooruitgangen in migratie, asiel en dat gestuurde samenlevingen tonen en de vooruitzichten voor hun implementatie in nationale en regionale contexten bespreken.

EMN Italië organiseert een nationale conferentie met de nadruk op het aantrekken van internationaal talent en gekwalificeerde arbeidskrachten en het bevorderen van co-ontwikkeling tussen lidstaten en derde landen. Fedasil has a budget for financing specific projects relating to the reception of asylum seekers (and other reception beneficiaries). The Agency has launched its call for projects for the year 2025. In 2025, the focus will be on projects that focus on support, activation, and housing.

Before 8 October 2024, public bodies or a public or non-public implementing agency or body of a Member State can apply for funding and submit their proposal to support the implementation of the Global Alliance to Counter Migrant Smuggling and its call to action to strengthen international cooperation on preventing and responding to migrant smuggling.

Before 20 September 2024, Member States can apply for funding for projects focused on combating organised crime under the Internal Security Fund and for projects to reinforce border checks or border surveillance under the Border Management and Visa Instrument. EUR 17 million are intended for this purpose.

Dit evenement zal de nieuwe EMN - Rode Kruis Inform over praktijken en uitdagingen bij de behandeling van slachtoffers van foltering en mishandeling in de context van internationale en tijdelijke bescherming lanceren. Before 21 August 2024, public institutions, private non-profit and international organisations may submit an application to receive funding under the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) for a project strengthening the identification, assistance, support, and integration of third-country national victims of trafficking in human beings.

The summer school focuses on the European immigration and asylum policies from a legal perspective, including the latest developments in 2024. A special emphasis is on the adoption of the New Pact on Migration and Asylum.
