Study Day: "The EU Asylum and Migration Pact and its impact on Belgian procedures"
What does the EU Pact on Migration and Asylum actually mean for Belgian migration and asylum procedures? This study day will allow lawyers, magistrates and all legal practitioners to consider this question, benefiting from the contributions and insights of experts from national migration and asylum authorities, various non-governmental organisations, and several universities.
What
On 10 April and 14 May 2024, the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union finally adopted the European Pact on Migration and Asylum, after 4 years of intensive negotiations. This new Pact brings about far-reaching changes, both at the level of EU law and in national legislation.
During the conference, an in-depth analysis will be made of the content of the legislative package and its repercussions on Belgian asylum and migration procedures.
