Odysseus Network Conference 2024: EU Asylum Legislation after the Pact (2 days)
This legally oriented European conference focuses on the legislation adopted on 14 May 2024 under the framework of the Pact on Migration and Asylum. It aims to provide the first legal analysis of all these complex legal instruments and their interconnections, including practical aspects in relation with the topics covered.
What
This conference, organised by the Odysseus Network, will include six thematic sessions:
- Unpacking the Pact
- Responsibility vs Solidarity
- At the border
- Procedures
- Rules for refugees
- Means for control
Each session will be introduced by a report of an academic followed by a panel with comments by practitioners from EU institutions including the Court of Justice, EU agencies like the EUAA and FRA, Member States, UNHCR and NGOs, etc.
