The number of participants in integration courses has continued to rise in recent years. AMAL vzw, for instance, reported a nearly 25% increase in course attendance, from 1.189 participants in 2023 to 1.484 in 2024. Atlas Antwerp also saw growth, with 4.788 individuals attending the first Social Orientation lesson, a rise from 4.394 in 2022. The Agency for Integration and Civic Integration in Flanders saw a total of 13.163 participants, an 8% increase from 2023.

Success rates in the mandatory MO test, introduced in March 2022, also remain high, with significant pass rates reported across the board: 92% at Atlas Antwerp, 95% at AMAL vzw, and 89% at the Agency for Integration and Civic Integration.

In line with modern educational trends, the courses are increasingly offered in a blended format, combining online and in-person sessions, allowing greater flexibility for participants to balance learning with work and family life. For those with limited digital skills, traditional face-to-face lessons are available, and additional support is provided for digital learning.

In addition to Social Orientation, the demand for Dutch as a Second Language courses also remains high. The figures from the three annual reports show a clear increase in demand, supply, and referrals – with a strong focus on needs-based learning, differentiation by target group, and accelerated access to work and participation.
