EMN Belgium meets Enabel partners to deepen cooperation

Today EMN Belgium visited Enabel partners to discuss themes and activities of common interest. Both the EMN Belgium team and the Enabel staff members in charge of human mobility and of strategic partnerships look forward to working together even more closely in the future.

Enabel teams already contributed to several publications and events of the European Migration Network (EMN); they are part of the national network of the Belgian Contact Point of the EMN.

Today, these actors met to identify themes of common interest, inter alia talent pools and related issues (education, recognition of certificates from third countries, etc.), the engagement of diasporas, durable reintegration of third-country nationals in their country of origin, narratives around migration, etc.

They examined how the different tools of the EMN, including the ad hoc queries, the asylum and migration glossary, the website and the learning tool Destination Europe, could support the work of the Enabel teams and how Enabel partners could contribute to upcoming EMN outputs, including the Inform on "External cooperation on migration and development" and the EMN Swedish Presidency Conference on "Displacement and migration related to disasters, climate change and environmental degradation".

Enabel's Director, Jean Van Wetter, very much welcomed the cooperative links between the teams.

Thank you very much to Enabel for the warm welcome and for the lively and enriching exchanges!
