CGRS publishes data on asylum applications for November 2011
Every month, the Office of the Commissioner General for Refugees and Stateless Persons publishes a document containing the statistics on the asylum applications and the decisions taken.
The number of asylum applications, the principal nationalities involved, the number and nature of the decisions, as well as the evolution of the workload can be consulted in the monthly statistics document.
In November 2011, 2318 asylum applications were filed in Belgium.
In November, the main countries of origin were Guinea (10.3 % of the total number of asylum applications), Afghanistan (8.9 %), Iraq (8.3 %), Russia (7.3 %) and the DR Congo (5.0 %). Albania, Pakistan, Kosovo, Serbia and Nepal complete the top 10 of the countries of origin.
