Deze ad hoc vraag onderzoekt of de wetgeving van de responderende EMN-leden uitzendbureaus toestaat om namens hun klanten onderdanen van derde landen in dienst te nemen. Indien dit het geval is, wordt gekeken naar het wettelijke kader dat dit mogelijk maakt, evenals hoe deze bureaus worden gecontroleerd en welke beperkingen er zijn om mogelijk misbruik te voorkomen.

In its annual report 2023, Fairwork Belgium reports on requests for assistance received in 2023 and provides further details on the profiles of the people concerned and the phenomena and abuses of which they are victims. Specific attention is paid to inter alia the misuse of the single permit system, the exploitation of posted workers, the false self-employment of applicants for international protection, and the au-pair employment as domestic worker.

Het blauwe hart wordt erkend als het internationale symbool in de strijd tegen mensenhandel. Op 28 juli 2025 werd de “Blue Heart”-campagne gelanceerd op het stadhuis van Leuven. EMN België was erbij, net als de lokale autoriteiten, de drie gespecialiseerde centra voor slachtoffers van mensenhandel, het federaal migratiecentrum Myria, het VN-Bureau voor drugs- en misdaadbestrijding (UNODC) en vele andere belanghebbenden. Het thema van dit jaar is “Mensenhandel is georganiseerde misdaad - maak een einde aan de uitbuiting”.

Myria has published the fourth thematic section of its 2024 annual report. In this section, entitled « Economic migration, free movement and students » Myria notes that more third-country nationals were posted to Belgium in 2023 than in 2022. Posted workers from third countries are more vulnerable to exploitation than EU-based posted workers. Therefore, they urgently need increased legal protection, according to Myria.
