De Belgische autoriteiten hebben deze ad hoc vraag gesteld om inzicht te krijgen in hoe andere lidstaten informatie verstrekken aan onderdanen van derde landen in het kader van terugkeer. Dit om te voldoen aan de verplichtingen uit de Terugkeerrichtlijn en om te beoordelen of het aanbieden van deze informatie via een website of digitale toepassing voldoende is.
