Ensuring a swift and effective integration into the labour market is important both for host communities, and for those fleeing the war to rebuild their lives.

Het jaar 2020 heeft onvoorziene ontwikkelingen op het gebied van migratie en asiel veroorzaakt. De COVID-19-pandemie had gevolgen voor het aantal migranten, asielzoekers en terugkeerders, en fungeerde ook als katalysator voor de ontwikkeling van nieuwe digitale oplossingen op het gebied van asiel- en migratiebeheer.
