Support for prefabricated schools in Syrian refugee camps in Turkey
The Belgian Council of Ministers decided to provide a subsidy to finance prefabricated schools in Syrian refugee camps in Turkey. The assistance is provided in the framework of the policy on conflict prevention of Foreign Affairs.
As a consequence of the massive flows of refugees in the south of Turkey, fleeing the repression of the Syrian regime, Turkey asked repeatedly for support from the international community.
The financial contribution of Belgium will be transferred to a Turkish agency responsible for the managements and coordination of the refugee camps.
