Public consultation: Debate on the future of Home Affairs policies: An open and safe Europe – what next?

From 29 October 2013 until 12 January 2014, the Commission of the EU organizes a public consultation, inviting all interested ones to contribute their opinion on the New Agenda for Home Affairs.

1. What?

The Stockholm Programme, which framed Home Affairs policies in the years 2010 to 2014 is coming to an end. Hence, the time is right to consider the future challenges and priorities to be addressed by EU Home Affairs policies in the coming years, as to shape a new Agenda for Home Affairs.

Home Affairs policies include: Home Affairs, Immigration, Asylum, Schengen, Borders, Visa, Internal Security, Organised crime and Human Trafficking, Crisis and Terrorism, Police co-operation and External Relations.

2. Who?

All citizens, Member States, Non-EU countries, public national, regional and local authorities, Intergovernmental bodies and NGO's, organisations, enterprises, civil society and general public are welcome to contribute to this debate.

From 29 October 2013 until 12 January 2014
