A new interactive tool helps foreign job seekers identify safe pathways to labour migration

The European Commission has developed a new interactive tool to map labour migration pathways across the 27 EU Member States. It helps to visualise the 290 pathways that were active at the time of the research and updated to February 2024.

The Migration Partnership Facility, a DG HOME-funded programme that supports the implementation of labour mobility projects and other interventions aligned with the EU Talent Partnerships, commissioned the European Centre for Development Policy Management (ECDPM) to map labour migration pathways across the 27 EU Member States in late 2023-2024.

On 29 January 2025, the European Commission announced that the tool was ready. The tool allows users to visualise pathways for individual Member States or filter the selection across several Member States according to common requirements such as language, labour market quota and income.

To test the tool, please visit this web page. To view the summaries and infographics for every EU Member State, please go to the MPF Resources library.
