Lecture&debate: It's the economy, stupid!
In the framework of its serial 'Thinking Europe' the Flemish-Dutch House 'De Buren' (the neighbors) organises an encounter with Prof. Ewald Engelen and his views on immigration
There is a crisis and the insights of economists are more relevant than ever. In each episode of the series of 'De Buren', the organisation invites a renowned economist or financial expert to share his or her surprising and sometimes controversial view on a current topic.
Professor Ewald Engelen, financial geographer and academic lecturer on ethnic entrepreneurship at the University of Amsterdam will take the kickoff. The evening centres around his frequently criticized thesis that immigration leads to economical profit.
When: 7 October 2011, 20:00h
