IES Spring Lecture Series: The Multilevel Governance of Migration and Immigrant Integration
This IES Spring Lecture Series starting on 20 February 2013 and ending on 24 April 2013 will focus on the multi-level governance of migration and migrant integration. Each session will be devoted to a particular topic.
What ?
This lecture serie (eight in total) is organised in association with the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD), under the umbrella of the organization’s 20th Anniversary.
This lecture series intends to provide a comprehensive overview of how migration and migrant integration are governed from the global to the local level, why policy output is the way it is, what are the future policy challenges and how interactions between governance levels determine policy output and policy outcome.
Each lecture will consist of high-level expert speakers in the issue, including leading academics, practitioners, policy makers and civil society leaders. Each session will dedicate ample time to discussions with the audience.
For whom?
The lecture series aims to bring these discussions to a wide audience of policymakers, practitioners, academics, students, members of civil society organizations and concerned citizens.
When?
All lectures are conducted in English and will take place from 18:00 until 20:00. They will be organized on 20 and 27 February; 6, 13 and 27 March, 17 and 24 April (see topics in the Programme).
