ERA-Conference on EU Migration Law 2012
This year's annual conference of the Academy of European Law will focus on the role of European agencies in the migration process as well as the impact of the CFR especially in asylum matters.
In order to further the EU's aim of achieving a Common European Asylum System, EU agencies have gained increasing importance in the area of asylum and immigration. The entry into force of the Lisbon Treaty made the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights (CFR) binding on all EU bodies.

- The role of agencies in the migration process: how does the work of EU agencies (EASO, Frontex, Europol, FRA) impact on the rights of asylum-seekers?
- The impact of the Charter of Fundamental Rights in asylum matters
