EMN Steering Board approves study topics for 2013
Following a selection procedure, the Steering Board members of the European Migration Network approved four study topics to be addressed in 2013
As part of its role in approving the EMN's annual Work Programmes, the Steering Board approved on 11 October the study topics to be addressed by the EMN in 2013. The Steering Board members took into account the policy relevance and need of these studies and their coherence with other activities, notably of EASO, Frontex and FRA.
The following studies will be undertaken in 2013:
- “Attracting high-qualified and qualified third-country nationals: Good practices and lessons learned” proposed by the Commission and the Austrian Contact Point.
- “Organisation of reception facilities for asylum seekers in the different Member States” proposed by the Belgian, French, Latvian and Swedish Contact Points.
- “Identification and return of trafficking victims in asylum/migration procedures” proposed by the Commission
- “EU Member State Policies and Practice related to Social Security, Health and Housing Services for Migrants" proposed by the Irish Contact Point
Information sources, comments and suggestions are very much welcome to help developing the Belgian reports on the above mentioned topics.
Please do not hesitate to contact the Belgian Contact Point for any question or suggestion.
