EMN Spain Conference: Integration and inclusion of migrant women: reality, challenges and opportunities

The purpose of this conference is to address the situation of migrant women in Spain and in other Member states, highlighting the challenges and problems they face and what measures are being taken to ensure their integration and inclusion, especially with regard to access to the labour market and housing. 

What

The Conference will focus mainly on:

  • Migrant women's access to housing, examining difficulties due to their vulnerability.
     
  • Migrant women's access to the labour market, discussing barriers such as the lack of recognition of qualifications, language barriers, often a lack of awareness of their rights, lack of social networks or childcare. In this panel, Carine Charvet, Public Employment Service of Wallonia (Forem) Belgium, will present policies and actions aimed at promoting women's integration into the labour market in Wallonia.
     
  • Testimonial narratives of migrant women, namely their experiences and realities, and the various reasons why they migrate.
