EMN Luxembourg and Prague Process Workshop on "Forecasting and New Technologies in Migration and Asylum Governance" (2 days)

This capacity-building workshop, organised jointly by EMN Luxembourg and the Prague Process, aims to explore the current state of forecasting migration and asylum flows, address existing challenges, and consider the future of forecasting in migration management. Additionally, the workshop will showcase the latest technological advancements in migration, asylum, and data-driven societies and discuss prospects for their implementation in national and regional contexts.

What

This capacity-building workshop is entitled: "Forecasting and New Technologies in Migration and Asylum Governance: State of Play and New Developments". It is a joint activity of the Prague Process and EMN and it will serve as a valuable platform for exchanging insights and experiences among both networks.

The workshop will bring together representatives from international organisations, EU agencies, migration authorities of the Prague Process participating states, including EU Member States, and academia. It will feature presentations on artificial intelligence, big data, and various algorithms, approaches, and models of foresight, forecasting, and predictive analysis, among others.
