EMN Germany Workhop on Ukrainians in the EU: Accessing rights under the Temporary Protection Directive and the way forward

The workshop will shed light on the challenges and best practices of the application of the Temporary Protection Directive in Germany, the Netherlands, and Lithuania. The participants will also discuss future scenarios to ensure the continued protection of Ukrainians.

What

As the National Contact Point of the European Migration Network (EMN) in Germany, the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees organises a workshop on Ukrainians in the EU, mainly to examine how the Temporary Protection Directive (TPD) has been practically implemented in the different Member States. 

Considering that the temporary protection regime is supposed to end in March 2025, the workshop will also examine what comes after the TPD and what scenarios are envisaged to ensure the continued protection of Ukrainians.
