In light of the many global crises in recent years, safe pathways to refugee protection have become increasingly important. In this context, resettlement and humanitarian admission programs are a key instrument to enable vulnerable refugees to live in safety and dignity as well as a vital signal of responsibility sharing and solidarity towards countries of first refuge. At the same time, active refugee admission is currently facing particular challenges due to various developments.

EMN Germany is organising a conference to discuss the above-mentioned developments and challenges. The first day of the event will highlight national developments and challenges in the field of resettlement in Germany and will be held in German. The second day of the event will be held exclusively in English, as European developments will be discussed with international guests.
