EMN France Conference: Integration of third-country nationals through teaching of host country values and civic training
EMN France's national conference will focus on the recent Inform published jointly by the EMN and OECD, which provides an overview of civic training schemes/programmes for third-country nationals in EMN Member and Observer Countries, and in non-EU OECD countries. It will also discuss educational approaches, systems and exams in place to convey and assess knowledge of civic principles and values.
What
During this conference, the key points from the EMN-OECD inform on "Implementation of measures for civic training as an important tool for integration of third-country nationals" will be presented. Besides, the situation in France and selected EMN Member and Observer Countries will be discussed through three panels dedicated respectively to:
- (1) Educational approaches in teaching the host country’s citizenship values
- (2) Focus on structured civic training courses, and
- (3) Assessing knowledge and introducing a civic test: issues and procedures.
