EMN Conference on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in migration management
This event aims to help migration policymakers and practitioners better understand the potential of AI applications as well as the regulatory framework of the AI Act and its impact on the use of AI in migration management, and to discuss the impact of AI on policymaking.
What
AI is beginning to impact asylum and migration, as it might transform how processes and procedures are carried out by migration authorities. However, it also involves risks. The conference will focus on showcasing use cases and centre discussions on the new Artificial Intelligence Act adopted by the European Union in June 2024.
