EMN Belgium strengthens collaboration with Fedasil

During a lunch & learn session, the EMN Belgium team met with around 30 Fedasil staff members to present the work of the European Migration Network, encourage active participation in the national network, and provide updates on recent and upcoming publications and activities.

On Thursday 24 April, the team of the Belgian Contact Point of the European Migration Network (EMN Belgium) organised a lunch & learn session to inform and network with Fedasil staff. Fedasil is the Federal Reception Agency, one of the four organisations that make up the Belgian Contact Point.

The presentation highlighted resources available to support Fedasil staff, including publications such as the annual Asylum & Migration Overview, studies, informs, ad hoc queries, and Glossary. It also covered EMN events, workshops, the website, and social media platforms. Experts were encouraged to share their information needs and contribute to publications and events. The session also emphasised the complementary roles of the EMN and EU agencies, such as the European Union Agency for Asylum (EUAA).

If your organisation is active in the area of migration and asylum in Belgium, don't hesitate to contact us (emn@ibz.be) to schedule a meeting and strengthen our collaboration!
