The brochure 'Marriage and legal cohabitation in Belgium' of the Federal Migration Centre is a simple and useful tool for partners searching information as well as for people assisting them with advice.

On the basis of a field study, The King Baudouin Foundation examined in more detail the marriage migration from Emirdag to Brussels with a view to identify profiles, aspirations and motivations of the migrants involved.

The King Baudouin Foundation aims to reduce vulnerability amongst newcomers settling in Belgium through marriage. Associations working on marriage migration related challenges are invited to submit possible projects before 16 April 2014.
