Lunch seminar: Dillemas of Multicultural Accomodation - a Case Study of Roma Early Marriages in Romania
Raluca Radescu will present a lecture for the Centrum voor Migratie en Interculturele Studies of the Universiteit Antwerpen. He will study the multiculturalism issue regarding community versus individual rights illustrated by the case study of Roma early marriages in Romania.
On Thursday March 8th from 12.30 to 1.3 p.m., the Universiteit Antwerpen will invite you to reflect on integration of minorities matter.
The lecture will particularly raise the issue of assimilation versus multiculturalism of minorites in European Member States.
The conference will focus on the question of what happens when special protection is granted to minorities. It will explore the impacts Group-rights can potentially engender concerning violation of the rights and freedoms of individual members.
