4.922 persons obtained Belgian nationality in February 2025, according to Statbel
According to Statbel, the Belgian statistical office, 4.922 persons obtained Belgian nationality in February 2025. The main countries of origin of people who acquired Belgian nationality in February are Morocco, Romania, Syria, Turkey and Afghanistan.
The figures related to February 2025 come from the provisional monthly results of the statistics on changes of nationality calculated on the basis of Demobel, Statbel’s demographic database.
Based on the provisional monthly figures for nationality changes in 2024, it can be tentatively concluded that 59.401 individuals acquired Belgian nationality in 2024. However, the final figures will only be available on 11 June 2025.
For comparison purposes, 55.213 inhabitants obtained Belgian nationality in 2023.
