Platform for discussion on EMN Annual Report on Immigration and Asylum 2014
During this launch event of the EMN Annual Report on Immigration and Asylum 2014, a variety of stakeholders will exchange information and views on key issues of the implementation of migration and asylum for the EU and Member States.
What?
This event is a unique platform bringing together EMN National Contact Points, senior policymakers from the European Commission, the European Parliament, Member State Permanent Representations etc.), NGOs and other members of civil society, to present the latest work of the EMN and to encourage an informal exchange of views on key issues of the implementation of migration and asylum for the EU and Member States.
In order to generate coherence between the Annual Report on Immigration and Asylum 2014, and priority issues on the European Agenda on Migration, the event will address three key policy areas:
- European Policy on Legal Migration and Integration
- Irregular Migration and Return, including smuggling
- Asylum and international protection
